Do I have to sell my item through eBay?

No, you can sell the item to friends or family for cash or cheque and just mail the cheque to the NCT

Who are cheques made payable to and what address do I send them to?

Please make cheques payable to the ‘National Childbirth Trust’ and send them to Events Fundraising, The National Childbirth Trust, Alexandra House, Oldham Terrace, Acton, London W3 6NH

What is MissionFish?

MissionFish is the charity partner of eBay

What happens if I forgot to sell my item through MissionFish and just sold it through the regular eBay?

This does not matter, once you have received payment and the buyer is happy with their purchase then just send a cheque to the NCT

Why should I have to pay to list my item on eBay?

You don’t. If you list the item as a charity donation then you will get the listing money refunded from eBay.

What can I trade my item for?

Anything! Start small and then as the item you are trading gets bigger you can then be more selective and trade in for better items. You can see if you can swap your item for gift vouchers which people often have unused at home, or even for an experience, do you have a friend who is particularly good at baking who might like to swap your item for the offer of a home baked cake, or would your local guy offer a free months membership? Be creative!

Examples:

Trade your NCT pen for a soft toy from a friend…..trade the toy for a board game…trade the game for an offer by a neighbour to wash a car…..trade the car wash for a brand new garden spade which had been in your other neighbours shed…..trade the spade for 4 hours babysitting by your sister…..trade the babysitting in for a leather jacket from the local store….sell the leather jacket on eBay….easy!!!!
